Meet Katlyn.
Katlyn King
Katlyn is a Central Florida native, residing in East Orlando. She has two beautiful children, Cohen and Oaklynn. Katlyn graduated from Boone High School in Orlando, then pursued a career in sonography. Having a high-risk pregnancy and a special needs son has opened Katlyn’s eyes to just how fragile life is.
Katlyn's deep connection for the water started very early in life after spending a lot of time in and around Florida waters. In 2019, she enrolled her son in swimsprout lessons and discovered her passion for aquatic safety. Katlyn was thrilled her son was able to perform life-saving skills in the water and became fully confident and independent by the age of three. Her daughter followed and continues to grow her own fins. Both children have a huge love for water and have never relied on flotation devices, all due to the swim-float-swim training they received at swimsprout. Becoming a swimsprout instructor was an easy decision; wanting to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
After dedicating several years to her son, who has autism and cerebral palsy, Katlyn is focused on making a difference in the lives of others. Katlyn is excited to teach life-saving aquatic skills, give parents and families peace of mind, and connect and grow with so many!
