Meet Laura.
Laura Thompson
Laura Thompson grew up in Maryland and moved to Florida in 2007, where she built her career as a dental hygienist and established her family life. In 2010, she first met Heidi while working in the dental field and found herself asking countless questions about swimsprout and was fascinated by how such young babies and children could learn to swim and float with confidence.
Laura has always loved spending time outdoors, especially at the beach, pool, and lakes, where water and family-life naturally come together. That connection to the water became even more meaningful when she experienced swimsprout firsthand after enrolling her own children.
All three of her little ones began swimsprout lessons at around 7 months old, and she quickly fell in love with the program. Watching her children progress and gain confidence in the water was incredibly special. Grayson and Caitlin both learned to float with Heidi, building an essential foundation of water safety. Grayson later learned the swim-float-swim with Heidi. Caitlin learned swim-float-swim from Heidi, Brooke, Briana, Katlyn, and Kelly (all swimsprout instructors). Seeing their growth and confidence develop through consistent instruction was both fascinating and inspiring.
When her youngest, Colin, started to learn the rollback and float with Kelly, that moment became especially meaningful for Laura. Watching him develop those early water-safety skills helped spark a deeper connection to the program and inspired her to inquire about becoming a swimsprout instructor during that season.
These experiences continue to shape Laura’s passion and belief in early water education, safety, and the importance of building confidence in and around the water. She looks forward to providing the same experience for your family.
